You’ve heard it time and time again: Austin is a city that marches to the beat of its own drum. We’re famous for “keeping things weird” and for being pretty damn undefinable. So, that’s what we decided Austin Java should be, an embodiment of its namesake city.

We’re not really a coffee shop because we have full-service kitchens. We’re not really a restaurant because we’re more of a cafe that stays open late. But then there are the alcoholic drinks. So where does that leave us? Somewhere in the coffee shop-cafe-restaurant limbo? Cool. That’s right where we want to be.
