5% – 10% of all coffee contains peaberries; beans that grow alone in the cherry and possess an unusually round shape without a flat side. This gives unique flavor and roasting abilities that make them special compared to normal coffees. These peaberries are from the city of Yirgacheffe, located in South-Central Ethiopia. Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and when you drink Ethiopian coffee, you taste how coffee originally tasted before it spread throughout the world. Expect a bright, fruity cup with a small rustic finish. We couldn’t bear to roast such a unique coffee dark, so we kept it light to maintain that amazing aroma and flavor.
